Governors

The three areas of responsibility for a governing body are:

  • Setting the school’s vision, ethos and strategic direction
  • Holding the head teacher to account for the educational performance of the school and its pupils
  • Overseeing the financial performance of the school and making sure that its money is well spent.

In addition, governors must ensure that there are robust and effective safeguarding policies and procedures are in place.

We do not make decisions about the day to day running of the school, but we support the head teacher and senior leaders as they work to ensure a happy, vibrant community in which every child can thrive and have access to a high quality curriculum. We provide this support through a mixture of committees, working parties and individual visits.

Basically we want to ensure that your children have the best possible educational experience in their time at Manor Fields, and that includes being safe and having fun!
